Three analytical perspectives. Each one answers a different question.

1. Technical analysis

Studies historical price movement through charts: trend structure, support/resistance levels, candle patterns, and price patterns. The assumption: market behavior repeats because it is driven by humans and algorithms with similar patterns.

2. Fundamental analysis

Assesses economic conditions: interest rates, inflation, employment data, central bank policy. For gold, releases such as Fed interest rate decisions and US inflation data are very influential.

3. Sentiment analysis

Measures what the majority of market participants are leaning toward (for example, the ratio of buy vs sell positions) and the global risk mood — "risk-on" versus "risk-off".

Key points

  • Technicals answer "where & when", fundamentals answer "why", sentiment answers "how crowded".
  • Beginners should focus first on technicals + awareness of the major news schedule.
